Overview
The Tare function allows users to measure the initial load on the sensor. It records both the initial load and the net force during an assessment. This is especially useful when a limb is resting on the sensor (e.g., K-Push, K-Force Plates, K-Deltas) or hanging from the sensor (e.g., K-Pull) before the assessment begins.
Important: The Tare function is available only when Research Mode is activated in the app settings.
Activating Research Mode
Before using Tare, ensure that Research Mode is enabled:
- Go to Account → Settings → Research Mode.
- Activate Research Mode.
Steps to Use Tare
- Go to the Test Bank.
- Find an isometric assessment using K-Push, K-Pull, K-Force Plates, or K-Deltas, and activate Tare on the configuration page.
- Start the assessment and remain still until the Tare value is measured.
- Once Tare is measured, its value will be displayed on the screen and the assessment will begin.
