K-Apture: Video Recording and Pose Detection for Assessments

Overview of the Feature

What it is

The K-Apture feature allows users to record videos during any assessment. Videos are recorded directly through the app and synchronized with the sensor data. This enables the user to analyze each moment of the test both visually and quantitatively.

This feature is available only with the Excellence License.

Why use it

Videos paired with sensor data help identify compensations and technique issues. Reviewing both simultaneously allows for more accurate diagnostics and better return-to-sport decisions.

How to use it

Depending on the assessment type, the video should be recorded from either the front or the side of the patient/athlete.

Typical configurations:

  • 3D Deltas: Front view to compare the resultant force angle with limb angles and detect torque on ligaments.
  • K-Deltas: Front view during jumping or squatting to check inward knee movement and left-right symmetry.
  • K-Power: Side view during sprints to review body inclination.

Where to find it

K-Apture can be enabled in:

  1. Configuration page of any assessment in the Test Bank
  2. Configuration page in Smart Mode

Options available

  1. Video recording only
  2. Video recording with pose detection (automatic joint tracking)
  3. Choice between front-facing or rear-facing camera
  4. Adjustable video quality and frame rate
  5. Videos are saved locally on the device in MP4 format

Note: Pose detection only works with the rear-facing camera.
