K-Power Placement Instructions

VBT (Velocity Based Training)

1. On an Olympic bar with the bar attachment on the side

(The two parts of the K-Power are perpendicular, not facing each other)

  • Place the dock on the floor under where the bar will be.
  • Place the pod on the bar attachment at the side of the bar.

2. On an Olympic bar with the small strap and the device facing downwards

(The two parts of the K-Power are in line, facing each other)

  • Place the dock on the floor under where the bar will be.
  • Place the pod on the bar using the small strap.
  • The pod on the bar should face the dock at all times and should not rotate while moving.

What to pay attention to / avoid

  • Do not drop the weights when disengaging, as this may damage the dock.
  • Align the dock properly with the end of the Olympic bar to reduce risk of impact and improve accuracy. If the motion is not directly vertical, a cosine correction is required.

Sprints

  • Place the dock on the tripod.
  • Adjust the height depending on the athlete:
    • Men: 93.5 cm to 110 cm
    • Women: 82 cm to 102 cm
  • Using the appropriate strap length (80 cm or 120 cm), place the strap on the athlete above the hips, around the lower back.
  • Clip the pod onto the holder assembled on the strap, facing the dock.
  • Adjust the dock height if necessary so the pod and dock face each other at the same level.
  • The pod and the dock must be aligned in a straight line.

What to pay attention to / avoid

  • Make sure the pod blinking in rainbow mode is the one placed on the athlete. Use the toggle in the app if inverted.
  • Placing the dock higher increases range, but the results will require cosine correction.
  • The pod must fit tightly on the athlete and should not bounce uncontrollably.
  • Depending on the exercise, placing the pod on the front of the torso may be necessary:
    • Men: 1.35 m to 1.55 m
    • Women: 1.24 m to 1.42 m
  • Ensure the tripod legs are fully open for stability, especially outdoors.
  • Open the tripod’s telescopic sections from the thickest to the thinnest to improve stability.
